I got this for my five year old son for his birthday, along with a stack of puzzles, and a brand new bike…. What was he most excited about? The globe! He was telling everyone he saw for a couple months about his new globe. This still gets used almost daily. If he gets up in the morning before everyone I can hear in his room “welcome to the magic adventures globe”. He absolutely loves it! We got the “dinosaurs and ancient beasts” pack added on which he is obsessed with…. Forewarning it costs $5.99 and took a few hours to download (you have to download the software onto the computer, plug in the globe, and then download the app onto the globe) but once it was loaded I had a very excited little boy. This has hundreds of hours of BBC videos loaded onto it about animals, the dinosaurs, different geological features, people groups…. It teaches about population, currency, capitals, countries and continents…. Ten years from now the population stats on there will be obviously outdated (but I believe can be updated from the computer) but there will still be stuff to learn from it so it won’t be something that will be outgrown at any age. There’s also games and quizzes on there that can be set to varying degrees of difficulty. All around, an amazing item! Whether you have someone in your life who just loves learning and you’re looking for a cool gift idea, or want to buy it to make school a little more exciting for your kids, this will not disappoint!
